NYFW hosted some of the greatest designers' fashion shows, with numerous designs and styles, I selected two of my favourite designers and their amazing looks. DVF always creates beautiful clothes, yet when I saw this I fell totally in love with A/W looks as they are so accessible to wear on a daily basis and have very flattering cuts. The patterns give these outfits an all-year-round look, with them not being restricted to only one season. Next it was DKNY, this is a complete opposite to what DVF showcased, but I have to say, I really love this Sport Luxe design, it is very reminiscent of Stella McCartney AW 2012. I especially like the bold colour contrasts and the flamboyant arms.
LFW was short and sweet, yet the British fashion designers showcased simple, yet elegant pieces, with sharp silhouettes, and bold cuts. There was great emphasis on outerwear, being Britain, these are the essential items needed to survive the cruel weather. And what better way to tackle harsh weather conditions, that with gorgeous coats and jackets?! Burberry Prorsum received great acclaim for the designs, a modern twist with a seductive elegance. I personally loved the prints and the bold gold belts fastened over the trenches. As for Mulberry, I let out a deep sigh when I looked over these designs, I must say that I have an obsession with Mulberry - for me Mulberry can do no wrong. This fashion show was absolutely wonderful, a whimsical, British garden feel to it and the pastel shades and Chanel like boucle jackets are so sophisticated. I must say that I absolutely adore the trousers which are cropped, and the oversized coats. Winter 2013 can't come soon enough now!
